Brenda O'Brien grew up in West Memphis, Arkansas, and through her family's famous nightclub, the Plantation Inn, got to know many of the legends of early rock 'n roll, including Elvis Presley, the Newborns, Jerry Lee Lewis, Willie Mitchell, Bowlegs Miller, B.B. King, Floyd Newman, and Isaac Hayes. This

autobiography, written at age 80, recounts Brenda's childhood filled with music, and her unusual subsequent life with three husbands, including the leading suspect of the disappearance of Jimmy Hoffa. It describes her joys, including her three sons; her struggles against abuse and mental illness, which she overcame with the help of shock treatments; her philanthropic efforts; and her entrapment in an online romance scam during COVID. The book explains Brenda's philosophy of resilience: "I learned along the way that life is good if you have music and positive vibes. Life will always offer you a choice to see things with light and love. I tried to reach out for positive things and believe in myself."
