7It is the intention of this work to highlight recent scientific advancements in neurocardiology and explore how new discoveries in heart science complement ancient spiritual wisdom. A critical analysis of heart consciousness research conducted in the fields of psychology, physiology and quantum physics demonstrates that the intelligence of "mind" does not only reside in the brain, but also in the heart. Areas of discussion include the need for a definitive understanding of the heart's role in physical and emotional health, the evidence of intelligence and intuition in the heart, and how heart consciousness impacts day-to-day life and the world at large.
