Jake the snake and his parents have one eye. They are convinced that snakes are better than any other creatures. One day, Jake decides to cross a bridge into another neighborhood even though his parents warned him not to make friends with creatures who are not snakes. Jake gets into some trouble and finds himself accepting help from others who are not like him. What happens next is a story about making new friends, acceptance of others, and a change of heart.
