​Risen from the depths of all that is metal, Engraved Darkness came to light in early 2010. With Johnnie Wallace on guitars and vocals, Matt Stewart on guitars and vocals, and Matt McVey on drums, they set out to show Midwest Ohio what extreme metal is all about. Their style of old school death metal blended with the technical and heaviness, Engraved is nothing short of brutal. Their live shows alone have caught the attention of many fans who stream to every show they play at.

In 2010 and 2011 the band hit all the local Dayton Ohio and surrounding area venues playing everywhere and anywhere they could. With several trips across Ohio and Michigan the band got the oppurtunity to play venues like McGuffys House of Rock in Dayton, Blondies in Detroit Michigan along with several outdoor festivals around the region. With the bigger venues came the bigger shows opening up for such bands as Vital Remains, Nile, Psycrotic, Keep of Kelessin, Ex-Deo, and Pathology.

2012 has become just as big with a string of shows not only in Ohio but in Michigan as well. They've also landed a spot opening for Victory Records artist Blackgaurd in Ohio with several more huge shows in the works. Later this fall they will be entering the studio to record their much anticipated debut album that will surely solidify their longevity in the world of extreme death metal.
